One day: a taste
A single day gets you a naturalist tour a short way up the park road and a decent shot at spotting wildlife near the entrance. It’s beautiful — but you’re seeing the doorway, not the house.
Three days: the sweet spot
Three nights on the park’s doorstep is where Denali opens up. You get a proper Natural History Tour into the park, a full free day for the big optional adventures — flightseeing around the peak, river rafting, a dog-sled demonstration — and enough time that the wildlife odds swing in your favor. You also get the thing nobody tells you about: time for the mountain to come out. Denali makes its own weather and is often hidden; give it a few days and your chances of seeing all 20,310 feet of it go way up.
