Is the consultation really free? There's no catch? ▾
Yes, completely free. We spend 20 minutes learning what you're looking for. If we have a tour that fits, we'll tell you — and if we don't, we'll say that too. No high-pressure sales follow-up. Most people who inquire are genuinely interested in traveling, and we treat them accordingly.
How far in advance do I need to book? ▾
For most tours, 4–6 months out is ideal. Popular departures (Japan spring, Greece summer) often sell out 8–12 months in advance. That said, we occasionally have late availability — it's always worth asking. If you're flexible on dates, last-minute trips are possible.
Can EWT build a custom itinerary for just my group? ▾
Yes. For groups of 6 or more, we offer custom private tours — same guides, same quality, your dates and your priorities. Custom tours carry a planning fee ($400, credited toward your trip cost) and require a minimum 6-month lead time. Email us to discuss.
What if I'm a solo traveler — is this awkward? ▾
About 40% of our guests travel solo. With a max group of 14, everyone gets to know each other quickly. We've had solo travelers form lifelong friendships on EWT tours. A solo supplement of $890 applies for private room occupancy; or we can match you with another solo traveler to waive the supplement.
Are your tours accessible for travelers with mobility considerations? ▾
It depends on the tour. Some itineraries involve significant walking and uneven terrain (Inca Trail, Fushimi Inari). Others are largely flat and accessible. Please mention any mobility needs in your inquiry and we'll give you an honest assessment of which tours are a good fit.
